This unique, large‑format book is the product of the author’s labour of
love for Chinese literature, particularly Tang poetry and brushstroke
calligraphy. It presents his transcriptions of approximately 300 Tang
Dynasty poems in Chinese calligraphy, paired with English translations
alongside the original Chinese text. The poems, selected from the works of
about seventy poets, are primarily intended for school‑aged children and
early learners of Chinese culture. As such, they are shorter and less
complex, avoiding intricate structures or heavy intellectual themes.
Nevertheless, these poems capture a wide range of social and emotional
issues common among Tang Dynasty poets (A.D. 618–907). Both the
calligraphy and translations are his own, based on what he has learned and
practised from historical and contemporary masters in the field.
· How the book is structured (two parts):
Part 1 (left to right, contemporary style): English preface, then each
poem shown as Chinese original + English translation.
Part 2 (right to left, traditional Chinese style): Chinese preface, followed
by the author’s calligraphy of each poem. Each calligraphy page also
provides the typed Chinese characters to help readers identify every word.

poem in calligraphy form, you can go to the front section to check the
translation.
